Empowering Women’s Health: Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025
19.03.2025
On March 7th, 2025, we didn’t just celebrate International Women’s Day we made it personal. Under the theme 'Inspire Inclusion', we honored the women who make up a third of our workforce, recognizing their strength, resilience, and undeniable impact on our success. Collaborating with Avenue Healthcare and the esteemed Dr. Anne Wambui, we created a safe, empowering space to tackle the tough conversations that too often remain unspoken. From breast and cervical cancer awareness to sexual health, contraception, menstrual health, pregnancy, mental wellness, and work-life balance no topic was off-limits. It wasn’t just about education; it was about equipping our women with the knowledge and confidence to prioritize their well-being unapologetically. Health access shouldn’t be a privilege it’s a right. That’s why we went further, collaborating with Avenue Healthcare to provide complimentary health check-ups throughout March, from 9 AM to 2 PM. These included cancer screenings, reproductive health consultations, and general wellness checks, ensuring every woman had the chance to take control of her health, backed by the company that values her. The impact was profound. The webinar wasn’t just informative it was transformative. Women felt heard, validated, and supported, sparking open, honest dialogue. The room came alive with thoughtful, courageous questions: • "How can we balance demanding work schedules with prioritizing our mental health without feeling guilty?" • "What systems can help women better advocate for their reproductive health in male-dominated spaces?" • "How can we continue supporting women returning to work after maternity leave to ensure they feel empowered and not left behind?" These voices, raw and powerful, reflected the lived experiences of our women and challenged us all to do better. This event wasn’t a one-off celebration; it was a promise. As we embrace 'Inspire Inclusion', we reaffirm our commitment to building a workplace where women’s health is prioritized, voices are amplified, and opportunities are equitable. Because when women thrive, we thrive and that’s the kind of future we’re determined to create.
